Most internet buffs like me are always in search of a free hosting solution where we can point our domain and host some stuff like a personal website. One of the coolest webspace offerings is by 000webhost.com which offers 1500MB of space and 100GB of monthly data transfer!! It's mind boggling... but hey there is a catch! its a scam.

While registering on the site, it makes you download a IP Address verification tool, which is A TROJAN! Please don't download it or else it may render your machine exploitable over the internet.

Also don't fall for its referal program. They never pay you. Do some research and you will get to know that.

The Chrome hype is already building up now, thanks to the 'G' string prepended. I have actually shoved Firefox aside in favor of Google chrome (though I am pretty sure I am gonna go back some time later).

The features/traits I loved about Chrome:

Extremely quick startup time - even beats IE

Drag and Drop file upload - wow what a relief!!!

Clean clutterfree UI

Most visited pages thumbnails on the startup page

Application shortcut creation e.g. Now Gmail has its own shortcut on the desktop

Things that I hated:

No Google Toolbar! What the bloody hell??? Google Chrome without Google Toolbar?? Above all, when I hit toolbar.google.com, it asks me to get Firefox!

A dedicated status bar is missing.

I guess the likes are more than the dislikes I could summon. I will want to stick to Chrome for some time.

Jeez I am glad I am in WindowsForms development, otherwise now developing Chrome loving websites is another headache! By the way did they create their own rendering engine or used/stole from Gecko?

I should be a designer :-)

Recently www.myntra.com was having an offer of shipping a printed T-Shirt for Rs. 99 only (Roughly $2.5). Being a Bon Jovi fan I definitely had to have a Bon Jovi T-Shirt and here I go! I created my own cool graphic keeping a White T-Shirt in mind.

Like the image? Leave me a comment if you want it. You can also use it as a wallpaper if you want. Maybe I will soon re-edit to wallpaper size for all other Bon Jovi fans.

For quite some time I have been willing to not only learn Design Patterns, but also implement them in a practical scenario. First things first. Let's learn the damn patterns. So here by I start a new post series on my blog, where in I look at a Design Pattern and understand how it can be implemented to a practical scenario.

I will try to post about the patterns learned, on my blog so that you all can also refer to it. The book I am referring is the infamous, "Head First - Design Patterns" which can be downloaded from this url: http://knowfree.net/2008/04/14/head-first-design-patterns-2.kf

For those of you who are C# developers, I bet you are making an effort to learn the latest offering i.e. C# 3.0. Icing on the cake would be, if you knew how to implement these Design Patterns using C# 3.0 features. Check out this amazing book dedicated to the subject: http://knowfree.net/2008/05/03/c-sharp-30-design-patterns.kf

So today's pattern is the "Strategy Pattern"
